Types Of Travel

Travel is the general movement of individuals between distant geographic locations. Travel can be accomplished by automobile, foot, bike, car, plane, train, bus, boat or any other mode, with or without personal luggage, and may be one way or Round trip. International travel is a big business with millions of visitors to the U.S. each year. The cost of international travel can be very high depending on where the travel is to and the time the travel is to.

One of the most common types of travel is to visit friends and family. This can include long distance travel within the same country or traveling overseas to another country. When people travel long distances, it can take a great deal of planning and preparation in order to get everyone together comfortably for the trip. It is very common for family members to get “lost” while travelling and it can even become embarrassing for a person who has never been on a long trip before. Another advantage to long distance travelling is that there are often activities and special events in the area the traveler wants to visit.

There are also two major industries in Canada that contribute greatly to the travel industry and those are the airline travel and the Canadian railroad travel. The airline travel industry includes both the air travel and the carriage of passengers. Carriage is defined as the movement of vehicles from point A to point B, also known as commercial transportation. The railway industry refers to the movement of trains or other forms of rail transport for the purpose of passenger carriage.
