Before the deal begins, the player in the first position to the left of the dealer has to make the first bet. The first bettor has the right to choose whether he or she is going to fold, call, or raise.
After the first bet is made, the dealer deals cards face up to the table. These cards are called community cards. A poker hand is formed by combining one card from each player’s hand with two community cards.
